Looking to develop her skill set, Ursula began her own Interior Design Company on the Northshore for a period of 15 years, but the attraction to the building industry remained, evidenced by Ursula completing several build projects at the same time.
In 2016 Ursula, in conjunction with her husband Brent, set up Sentinel Homes North Rodney, a boutique operation aimed at assisting and guiding their client base to design and build family homes in the Rodney and Kaipara area. With a hand-picked team, their territory is from Puhoi to Waipu, with focus on Warkworth/Matakana/Omaha/Point Wells areas, and have demonstrated time and again the understanding of clients' needs and wants.
Ursula's background has ideally positioned her to continue in this vein. She has refined the business and can boast highly respected, industry experienced staff to work with her. Communication and experience are keys to the philosophy Ursula brings to the equation: empathy and understanding is pivotal in guiding and supporting their clients. It is a very hands on experience when you deal with Ursula and her team.
The concept of client care is best illustrated in the "Start to Finish" ethos and has resulted in clients becoming friends, such is the relationship that is developed. Building and designing a home is an expensive undertaking and it is critical that understanding their clients dreams and hopes is the overarching principle that Ursula and her team follow.
